ABSTRACT
Financial planning is an important component of project success. Its contribution is particularly significant in the floricultural projects where it cushions the floricultural farmers against the challenges arising from the socio-economic and political environments. However, there have been concerns about the performance of floricultural projects. In this regard, there have been concerted efforts to embrace financial planning in order to enhance the performance of floricultural projects. Therefore, this paper examined the influence of financial planning on the performance of the floricultural projects in Kenya. The study was guided by the control theory and targeted all floricultural projects in Nakuru County. Data was collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive results showed that 35.4% of the variance in the performance of floricultural projects was explicated by project financial planning.
