ECONOMIC POLICIES AND DEVELOPMENT IN SUDAN (2000-2013)

ABSTRACT
Economic policies have been played a vital role on development in Less Developed countries (LDCs). This study investigates from an empirical point of view the impact of economic policies on development in Sudan during the period 2000-2013. Economic policies represent by (Money supply, Interest rate, Taxation and government expenditure) variables while gross domestic product (GDP) represents economic development. For this purpose data were collected from various sources namely Central Bank of Sudan, Central Bureau of Statistics, Taxation Chamber and ministry of Finance. By using e-views and applying ordinary less squares method to a linear form of the model, the obtained results showed that economic policies have significant impact and effect on development in Sudan during the period (2000-2013).
